Let's talk about GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLs!

Hello, hello! Remember me? Not only has it been ages since I posted here on this lil ol blog of mine, but once I actually remembered how to sign into the darn thing, I see that the whole Blogger site has changed and there is lots of stuff for me to read about, learn about and figure out. Not gonna happen tonight!

I am here to share my goals with the wonderful friends and followers of The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans as I participate in the latest challenge going on over there:

I am in this eight week challenge with my bestie in every sense of the word, Sharon! We have been friends literally since we were babies! Our team is called New Year, New Rear. Can't take credit for it, I saw it somewhere on the interwebs!

As one of my goals is to be in bed by 11:30 on weeknights and midnight on the weekends (unless I am out and about having a blast till the wee small hours of the morning!), I really need to get to the part of the post where I list the rest of the goals. It's 11:44 p.m!.

Here we go. These are goals for this challenge. I have other goals for the year, which I will write about at another time.

1. Lose 8 lbs from my starting weight for this challenge..
2. No skipping my WW meetings and NO using the no weigh in pass! If I had a bad week, I need to own it and face the music.
3. Give myself a reward of something non-food related, for tracking five out of 7 days of the week. I know I need to be doing this every day, but when you  suck at tracking and barely do it, reaching for 5 days is a challenge.
4. Get back to running at least 3 times a week. Treadmill or outside, any which way I can. I am losing my mojo while my running club is on break and need to get back to it.
5. Start to meet up with the club again the last week in Jan. and skip zero meetings.
6. Add weight training twice a week.
7. 100 oz of water daily
8. No fast food for the duration of this challenge!
9. Spend at least 15 min a day decluttering. The clutter and state of the house has a direct impact on my mood which in turn has a direct impact on my motivation to do anything positive for myself.
10. See the sleep one above!

Phew. What a list! I am on it!

Spring2Action -Week 4- Good News/Bad News

Hi everyone!
I am sorry for missing last week. It completely skipped by me. I have been in the throws of planning a surprise party for my parents' 50th anniversary which is THIS Saturday and things have just been bonkers with that. I am so excited I can barely stand it!

Let's do the bad news first. I am up on the scale a bit.
185 for this week.

The good news is that I completed my FIRST 10k!! I had so much fun. It was a great day and I can't wait to do it again! I plan to write a race report after this big anniversary party is over. And do a lot of other things that have been on hold once the party is over lol.

Here's a sneak peak: Me coming across the finish line! My husband didn't have the camera ready to go but I kinda like how this picture turned out, all artsy-like... and you can't really tell my face is as reed as a tomato!

Happy 50TH Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!

Spring In2 Action - Week 2 check in

Hi there everyone!
Well it was a good week. Let's get to it shall we?

Starting Challenge Weight: 186.0
Last week: 185.4
This week: 183
Loss this week: 2.4
Loss for Challenge to date: 3lbs

Great to see things heading in the right direction. I had some days of not making great choices - thanks, Easter and thanks, Anniversary the very next day -- but I am trying to recover from that. My BIG accomplishment for the week did not involve the scale though. What really got me excited was the 6.4 miles I did with my running club this past weekend, my longest run yet., My first 10k is coming up soon!! April 21st. Bring it on!

Spring In2 Action - Week 1 Weigh In

Hi everyone!

So it appears I was asleep at the wheel when it came to weighing in last week and having a starting weight for this new challenge at the Sisterhood.

Never fear! Since I am  a faithful less than perfect follower of Weight Watchers, I have my handy booklet of recorded weigh ins at the ready.  Rather than get all nutty with two weigh ins a week, for the purposes of this challenge, as i have done with other SJ challenges in the past, I will be using my WW weigh in weight.

That said, shall we get to it?

Last week: 186.0
This week: 185.4
Loss: .6

More importantly though, to me, is the fact that I have reached my 30-lb loss mark on Weight Watchers! Woot!

I have signed up to Run the Hood - have you? What are you waiting for?! Come and join in!!

Trying to be a good SJ Challenger participant, I also made my homework! I made my  Motivational Board. I look at it every morning and it makes me smile and encourages me to keep up with my 10k training.

How are you doing with the challenge so far?

Thanks for stopping by!
